A $50,000 matching challenge has been offered to launch the Thom Gould Endowment Fund. We ask for your support.
As many of you know, our dear friend Thom served on the Board of Directors and the Finance Committee with distinction. He knew well the importance of building a strong endowment for the museum to ensure its long-term financial sustainability.
In this spirit, we are pleased to announce that a donor has issued a 1:1 matching challenge of $50,000 to build this fund. We must meet this goal by fall 2026 and we respectfully ask your support to get us there.
The Board is committed to Thom’s vision for the CHMM and the new endowment fund will support enrichment initiatives at the museum.
The Finance Committee will invest the fund similarly to the Kevin J. MacDonald Endowment Fund. That fund has grown to over $180,000, thanks to your incredible outpouring of support.
