The Kevin J. MacDonald Endowment Fund supports a new, paid internship program at the CHMM. The Board is thrilled to announce that the fund has topped $181,000 to date thanks to the colossal outpouring of support from the community.
In 2025, the Finance Committee recommended investing all donations. The Finance Committee oversees these investments. The funds are in a restricted account. The Board elected not to draw down endowment funds so that earning could be reinvested. The goal is to build the fund to $250,000 and then draw down 5% to support stipends for a new youth and college internship program.
In the 2026 budget, the Board set aside $40,000 in separate funds to launch the youth and college internship program. The CHMM accepted 12 paid summer interns into the program.
