Welcome to the first tall ship art auction on Saturday, October 8, 2016.
Wine, beer and appetizers from 10 different restaurants in Newburyport will be served from 6 to 7 PM during the silent auction and while live auction artworks are displayed throughout the museum. At 7 o'clock the silent auction will end and
people will move from the museum into the tent.The VIP ticket holders will have
reserved seating at the front of the tent; there will be seating for everyone.
At this point auctioneer John McInnis will auction off 50 original
pieces of art centralizing around the theme of The El Galeon for the next hour
and a half. The proceeds of the auction will enhance the educational programs
of the 2017 Tall Ship visit.
The VIP Ticket Package includes hors d'oeuvres, beer and wine prepared by 10 local restaurants and businesses, reserved live auction seating, a gift package including a pair of Maritime Museum logo wine glasses, a Maritime Days t-shirt, a gift card from The Poynt restaurant and while the supply lasts, a Ron Emmerling limited edition numbered giclée of El Galeón.
The General Admission Ticket Package includes hors d'oeuvres, beer and wine prepared by 10 local restaurants and businesses and first-come auction seating during the live auction.
